My favorite father moment was the World Series Game in 1988. Bottom of the 9th, Kirk Gibson hit a two-run homer to win the game and turn the tide in the series. The Dodgers went on to beat the A's in what was arguably the best championship competition ever. I stood next to my dad in the stands, crying and dancing with thousands of others for what seemed like forever (and was in fact almost ten minutes straight). The injured Gibson came out for at least two waves, because we just wouldn't sit down. I've never seen my dad like that. He was astonished, laughing, happy, triumphant...dancing with glee. Best father daughter day ever. Love you Dad.
