Super Harvest Moon

Did you see it?  The Super Harvest Moon?  I saw it here in Kansas, but wasn't sure why it was called Harvest Moon until this article.  I didn't have much time to look around today.  Mostly just rushed around from appointment to appointment.  Ate at Bravo, an Italian Restaurant with really good prices (and good food).  The recommendations we received were mostly for the Casinos.

So, funny information on the Casinos...they are not on the riverboats.  The Coast Guard couldn't support the safety of the riverboats, so they allowed for some slight alterations which allowed the casinos to build more on land than on water.  So instead of floating they sit firmly on land, BUT they are surrounded by a moat and this allows them to legally operate.  Ah, clever!

Sort of want to see it just for that.  Today was mostly Kansas, tomorrow will be more Missouri.

Mini Rant - I'm tired of the negative being more powerful than the positive.  Entire media organizations have been built on exploiting opinions and viewpoints to create worry, discomfort and at their worst, fear.  And the most frustrating thing I see is that this fear is arbitrary.  They widely spread stories and then go with what sticks.  So there isn't really a focus on truth, but instead a focus on truth that sells.  I'm tired of it.  The United States is pretty great, the stuff we've done is pretty darn amazing and we continue to get better.  Why isn't the most popular wave focused on celebrating that?
