Merry Christmas!!

It's the first day of December!!!!!

I almost started a Tumblr account today to document the crazed day-to-day effort book writing requires. I still might. Today's entry would have had a picture of me with frizzed out hair, bags under my eyes, and holding a sign that said "4,500 words this weekend." You'll just have to pretend you were lucky enough to see that.

I'm currently sitting in a Starbucks getting a jump start on tomorrow's word count goal. (700 words down.) I'm also wondering why the store put ugly brown industrial photos of a coffee bean processing plant on their wall. Of all the pictures they could have chosen, that is it?

This is the picture. I swear. The ugly yellow light does nothing but make it uglier. I have nothing against brown, but this is entirely too much of it.

I also started getting ready for a 5K again. Who is with me? It's fine if it is just me. I plodded along on the treadmill today, stopping twice to stretch out my ankle muscles. Other people stretch their calves. I like to be different. Thankfully my guide says that I can rest tomorrow.
