Utah - Day One

Landed over Salt Lake (normally we descend over the city...wind must have been blowing out of the South) and conducted a few work visits then trundled ourselves to the Park City Mountain Resort to try out the Alpine Slide.

Was she game? You betcha!

We took the lift (and insisted on the sissy lap bar). It took a while. Each minute that went by allowed us to visualize what was waiting for us at the top of the mountain. People brave enough to try the zip line were whizzing by beneath us and we could see the track we were soon going to go down.

After jumping off the lift and racing out of the way we drug our cart to our doom--I mean track. There were four runs to choose from. We chose Crooked Shaft and Last Chance...of course.

Tonight I will be writing chapter seventeen and the goal will be to keep going until I finish it or the sun comes up, whichever comes first.
