I'm going to dinner at a home in Bel-Air tomorrow night. I have never been to Bel-Air. I thought I would do a little research about the neighborhood. I expected a tale that included deception, intrigue, murder...
There was none of that. Correction, in the 60's there was a fire and Maureen O'Hara saved her house by spraying water on it.
Bel-Air was founded by a rich man who gave the streets Italian names. Rich people live there now. They have their trash picked up on Wednesdays. The further you go into the neighborhood the smaller and more modest the houses become. You can order a speed bump to slow the traffic down in front of your house, but you likely won't get a speed bump, because speed bumps are not handed out willy nilly. The Bel-Air hotel is running a special - less than $600 a night.
I won't be staying at the Bel-Air hotel any time soon.
Now you know as much as I do. If I learn more I will share. Wish me luck.
